 | As the remaining engineering works come to close to an end, Bon-Accord has received her first new coat of shiny gloss paint - As any fan of RW Awdry knows, a new coat of paint is reward indeed for a being a "Really Useful Engine" and we are increasingly excited about seeing a complete and restored Bon-Accord back in steam.
The original green livery, which she would have displayed as she left the Andrew Barclay Locomotive Works back in 1897, has been chosen, in keeping with her restoration back to original working condition. Using information from old photos and documents to gauge colour and dimensions, the lining details are being added currently. |
