Bon-Accord's Boiler has PASSED its steam test. 31st January 2007

Two of our members went to Chatham Steam to witness Bon-Accord's boiler raise steam successfully - without leaks - and for the first time since the mid 1960s. Under the witness of the Safety Inspector, Bon-Accord's boiler has now cleared the last major hurdle before it can return to Aberdeen.

The boiler also PASSED its Hydrotest - Monday 15th January 07, at Chatham Steam.

Final work to the boiler will now be completed over the coming weeks.
Details of the boiler's return to Aberdeen to follow when confirmed.
